Verizon Wireless, the second largest mobile carrier in the US, announced the availability of three of its popular handsets in new colors, probably to start the year with a fresh look but
also for the approaching Valentine's Day, when pretty-colored devices sell like they're offered for free.
The first phone to get a new look is Samsung FlipShot (or SCH-U900), the clamshell that comes with a rotating display, very useful when taking pictures. Its new color is a vivid red one and hides the same nice specs of the original version: 3 Megapixel camera with multi-shots and video recording, GPS (VZ Navigator), EV-DO, Media player, V CAST Music and Video, Mobile Web 2.0, e-mail, Mobile IM and Bluetooth with A2DP. Of course, besides the red version, there's also the classic black Samsung FlipShot, for those who like darker colors. Both versions are available for $149.99.
